Satakieli, a dance work by Susanna Leinonen Company featuring older adults and professional dancers, brings different generations together by weaving their moving personal stories into a shared whole.
Strength drawn from the wisdom of age merges with choreographer Susanna Leinonen’s powerful and expressive movement language. Satakieli opens a window onto inner landscapes where movement and sound enter into a dialogue between life and death.
The work reminds us that life’s most precious moments can arise in the midst of letting go. It is a tribute to life and a gentle reminder that every moment matters.
A recording of the dance work will be screened at Cinema Orion on 18 February 2026 at 1:00 pm. The screening is free of charge.
Following the screening, a post-screening discussion will take place at 1:50 pm, featuring actor and singer Eija Ahvo, choreographer Susanna Leinonen, and the dancers of Satakieli.
Free tickets can be reserved via Cinema Orion’s online ticket shop starting from 27 January.
