Cuban rhythms with Los Fabulosos!
On Wednesday 4 March, 1–3 pm, the Theatre Museum turns into a tropical dance oasis. Susanna Leinonen Company and the Cuban trio Los Fabulosos will bring live music and a great atmosphere right in the middle of the day.
Dancer Matilda Peltonen will also be there to teach basic salsa steps. No previous dance experience is needed. You can join in as much as you like, or simply sit back and enjoy the music.
Tanssivyöhyke (Dance Zone) is a daytime club for people aged 65+ who want to dance and enjoy live world music. Our December club was a big success, and many people asked for more. So here we go again, with Los Fabulosos!
About the band
Los Fabulosos is a top Cuban trio playing son, one of Cuba’s most loved music styles. Their music is full of warm melodies and lively rhythms. You’ll hear beautiful boleros and energetic rumbas, played by excellent musicians.
Their guitars and voices blend smoothly, and the drums make it hard to stay still. At Tanssivyöhyke, the band will also play Finnish-language songs by Vili Mustalampi.
The band features brothers Vili Mustalampi and Tero Bombero, both long-time specialists in Cuban music. Bass player Puro Paju is also one of the best in his field. This trio truly has a strong, authentic sound.
Come and enjoy the gentle nostalgia and joyful energy that fills the room when Los Fabulosos plays.
Warm welcome to a memorable midweek celebration!
