Nightingale

Susanna Leinonen Company’s new Community Art project Nightingale combines 26 senior performers and SLC’s professional dancers. It takes the viewer on a journey that unites different generations by intertwining their touching stories. The power stemming from the wisdom and life experience of age is combined with the strong and expressive movement of choreographer Susanna Leinonen.

The work opens a window to the landscapes of the soul, where movement and sound engage in dialogue between life and death. Nightingale reminds us that life’s most precious moments can happen in the midst of renunciation. The nightingale is a tribute to life and a reminder that every moment counts.
