Sari Nuttunen

Costume

Born in Turku, Sari Nuttunen is Stockholm based costume designer, make-up artist and a wig maker. Sari has studied art in Stockholm and she has graduated from Dramatiska Institutet faculty of cinema and performing arts. She has worked extensively in the field of visualization and costuming. Right after graduation, Sari started her professional career working for Kungliga Operan in Stockholm. From there, she moved on to work for Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern where she worked for over a decade. During her time there, Sari was responsible for costuming over 30 plays (such as Macbeth, Dödsdansen, Fröken Julie, Cabaret, Komisk talang ja Kvartert).

From 2011 onwards Sari has worked as a freelancer in the field of cinema and performing arts. Sari and Susanna’s collaboration started in 2018, when Sari designed the much praized costumes for Nasty.
