Christy Ma

Dancer

Christy Ma is a performer, dancer and choreographer from Hong Kong. She has completed master’s degrees in comparative dramaturgy and performance studies at Uniarts in Helsinki and Goethe University in Frankfurt. She also has a bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance from the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts. Christy has worked with well-known dance groups such as City Contemporary Dance Company and Guangdong Modern Dance Company. In 2020, she was awarded female solo champion at the Seoul International Dance Competition. Christy is interested in exploring the mind through the physical body and explores the human experience in her work, combining different mediums and artistic forms. Her works have been performed in Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, China and Malaysia.
