NEW PREMIERE OF CHOREOGRAPHER SUSANNA LEINONEN IN SWEDEN 14.10.2011

The Göteborg Ballet has commissioned a new work from choreographer Susanna Leinonen. Opening night of Transient Horizon will take place 14.10.2011 at the Göteborg Opera together with two other premieres by Helena Franzén and Roberto Zappalà .

Leinonen’s Transient Horizon is a piece for 11 dancers. The artistic team is comprised of some of the most eminent artists in Finland: composer Kasperi Laine, costume designer Erika Turunen and lighting designer Kimmo Karjunen who received the state art prize in 2009.

Susanna Leinonen is internationally highly regarded choreographer. In Sweden her works have been seen in the repertoire of the Royal Swedish Ballet and Skånes Dansteater.

The Göteborg Ballet is one of the biggest and most significant contemporary dance companies in Europe with 40 dancers from 15 countries.

Three world premieres at the Göteborg Opera 14-27.10.2011.
